Now that we are offering both Ironman and Nankang tires, we often get asked which tire we recommend. The answer to that question entirely depends on what you expect from the tire.
The Ironman Imove's are a great, long lasting tire. They wear exceptionally well, without any unexpected chunking or delaminating. The downside to their long life, is that they do not produce as much grip. Choose this tire for non-competition, lower powered cars. If you are going to a long weekend fun event, with tons of back to back seat time, and you aren't concerned about having high grip, this is also a great choice.
The Nankang NS20 offers much more grip than the Ironman. For the price, you cannot beat this tire. Wear is great, and for the cost the grip is very good. The NS20 does not deal with high heat nearly as well as the Ironman does, and can occasionally delaminate if you get the tire too hot. For competition, we recommend you alternate between sets of these tires to help them cool down. This will prevent them from delamination. If you are able to change these tires out, this tire will offer outstanding grip levels that will help you keep up or even pull away from the competition. Sometimes, ordering a smaller size than normal may be needed if you do not have high power levels.
